My daughter and I found a duckling while we were out for a walk last spring. I want my daughter to learn all about wildlife, so we picked it up and took it home and raised it. Now it's old enough to fly, and has even escaped and flown around the neighborhood once.

We took the duck to the local wildlife rehab clinic to ask if they would find a place to release it. I was really disappointed that they weren't excited about all the work we had done raising this duckling. I heard them say stuff like "metabolic bone disorder due to improper diet" and "doesn't know it's a duck, thinks it's a person" and things like that.

I think they just want to have all the fun. I'm never taking another animal there.
